Teaching Philosophy
The best teachers are those who are learners themselves. I believe in making mistakes, reflecting, learning from them, and moving forward, and in order to teach students that making mistakes does not mean failure, I must practice and believe it myself. I hope to be a teacher who teaches students to be life-long learner, to be unafraid of what they do not know, and to ask questions and seek answers; my goal is not to make learning about grades, but it is to be a supporter of curiosity and creativity in my students. Many students come from diverse family backgrounds and life situations, and teachers have a chance to make a difference in even one child’s life. Education is not only a means to success in one’s career path; it is empowerment and hope. As I enter this field, I intend to partake in any available professional development group or opportunities, ask questions of my own and actively seek for answers, and always be reflective of my own teaching.
