ESL Assessment PortfolioThis site has been created as an electronic portfolio for an assessment course that I have taken at James Madison University.
Although the assessments and learning tips have been created for a particular student, the assessment examples and other information on this site can be used in various contexts. Please feel free to use the information on this site for your benefit and add upon them as well. |
About this portfolio
One of the courses I am required to take for my TESOL minor is a course about creating assessments for ELLs. The course focuses on teaching and educating future teachers what qualities to be aware of when creating assessments. In this course, we also learned how to create appropriate assessments for particular classrooms and students; depending on what is being tested, the assessments will be different. However, it is important to be mindful that all students are different in their learning styles, which means they also need to be assessed in various ways. A good mixture of various kinds of assessments are important when assessing the levels of students across contents. Continue to visit different parts of the website to learn more about assessments!
