Context for Assessment |
Grade level: 4th grade
Content: Language Arts English language proficiency: 4.4
My class is currently learning about main ideas and finding the details of these ideas. Micah has great reading and writing skills, but her speaking skills are lower than the rest of her proficiency levels. Her proficiency level shows that she has strong listening skills, but she does not speak often in class.

WIDA
The English language proficiency is leveled by the WIDA standards.
WIDA stands for World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment. The standards of WIDA come from five main components:
Please click HERE for more information about the five components. Students are tested using the ACCESS test, which assesses the students in five different contents. In Micah's case, I have only revealed her Language Arts scores in order to give better context for the assessments that have been created for her. |
